Starting Tuesday, I have not had such a fantastic week.
1. Tuesday over lunch I went to the dentist. My teeth are great...gums looking good (except in the back 4 corners where my gum levels are a little high)...but then, I get some not so great news.
I got my FIRST cavity!!!
UGH I was devastated...my first cavity in 25 years!!
In all fairness, they told me it was VERY small and it happened where there is an in cave in my tooth which means food can easily build up down in there. However, this didn't make me feel any better.
So today, I have a filling scheduled at 1. Thank goodness they have advanced from the silver fillings to have white fillings so it is not noticeable. Thank you technology!
2. A few weeks ago I went for my regular gynecologist appointment and everything was fine. They take a swab and send it in to the lab to get results. Now on my LAST YEARS appointment, my lab results came back abnormal (I had atypical cells) so I had to come back in for a colposcopy where they take a small sample of tissue from your cervix to make sure it wasn't anything serious...which it wasn't.
I was a little nervous this time around seeing as my results came back abnormal last year. I was crossing my fingers that whatever abnormal cells I had cleared up....but that wasn't the case. I called in yesterday and they told me they had just gotten in my results and there was a low abnormality in my cells...UGH!
They explained it was a slightly different abnormality than last time, which I am not sure what that means, but they won't know more until I got back in, AGAIN, for a colposcopy.
And let me tell you...these things HURT! They tell you to take Advil an hour before to help reduce the pain. Afterwards you are expected to feel pain and cramping.
Not very fun!
So needless to say, I feel like my body is falling apart...AHH!
But I am not letting it get to me and I know that it could be A LOT worse!
To get my spirits up, I went out on lunch yesterday for some retail therapy.
Shoe therapy that is!
It is all about the spring time wedges:
When you get some bad news, shopping always seems to help!
Hope your having a good week!
I have a feeling mine is going to get better once the weekend arrives!
